We have a "saved closed caption as a VTT file" checked but no VTT file is ever saved, presumably because we are only using a Pro account. Very misleading of you! It takes little to no time to ensure your user base is NOT drawing erroneous assumptions. This is done on purpose! The person you responded to doesn't work for Zoom, they are just a user. Not sure why you are giving them a hard time about it, they are just interpreting the table based on their experiences.

Many third parties offer transcription services for web conferencing and online meetings, but if you purchase their Business, Education or Enterprise packages, Zoom can automatically transcribe them for you.
Zoom uses speech recognition software to quickly generate high quality, accurate transcripts, without having to share information with third parties. However, as the transcript is created using ASR automatic speech recognition the quality of the transcript can really vary depending on the audio; accents, multiple speakers and technical terminology etc. You can either use the automated transcript from Zoom, or download the audio to share with a more accurate human transcription service provider See Best Transcription Services You can limit who can generate transcripts to specific users or groups, or make it available to everyone on the account.
For all three, you must log in to the Zoom web portal and navigate to the same Recording tab, but in different ways for different levels of access. To allow audio transcription for yourself, go to Settings straight from the Zoom web portal, then go to the Recording tab and make sure the Cloud Recording option is enabled.
If the option is grayed out, you will need to contact your Zoom administrator for access. To limit access to members of a specific group, go into User Management, then Group Management. Select the relevant group and go to Settings. On the Recording tab, make sure that Cloud Recording is enabled. Under the advanced settings, tick Audio Transcript and save the changes. If the option is grayed out, you need to get permission from the account holder.
In your Zoom window, start a cloud recording by clicking on Host A Meeting at the top-right of your Zoom account and selecting Screen Share Only from the dropdown menu. A new window will open to set up your Zoom Meeting, asking you to select the window where your video is located.
Tick the Share Sound check box at the bottom-left and then click the Share button. A new window will open for the recording of your Zoom Meeting. Click the Record button on the bottom menu and select Record to the Cloud from the dropdown menu. A Recording Alert pop-up window will open, stating, "to include audio in the recording, click Join Audio. Click the Join Audio button. A pop-up window will open, asking you to "Choose ONE of the audio conference options. Click Unmute Myself ; otherwise, no audio will be recording, and a transcript will not be generated.
From this point, the recording has begun. Please make sure to be quiet during the recording as your microphone will also be recording. Open the browser window where your video is located.
